On the latest episode you said you have an issue with Federal funding paying $350 to $550 for a poor woman to have an abortion procedure for an unwanted pregnancy. Yet you are OK with Federal funds paying for all her pregnancy checkups, birth costs, plus 18 years of food, living expenses, education and healthcare at over $750,000+? Sounds like Republican thinking to me.

Interesting discussion on religion at the end. I myself was raised Methodist on my mother's side with some Catholicism from my father's side. During my formative years, I was taught to believe the Bible as fact. While I never really went to church, during the six months or so that I was homeless (the first time), my mother would read out loud from the Bible to my grandmother and myself. Not for inspiration or worship, but because there was no television down by the river. :) Not only did I never question the teachings of Christianity, I remember having religious experiences as a young man in my late teens and early 20s and at least 1 bonafide in yer face miracle. Within the last 5-7 years, my faith in the Bible as the word of God has all but faded and I have found it very difficult to let go of the last strings of that belief, or perhaps the wanting for that belief to have been true. Arthur joked about it being a zombie tale, I have to admit thoughts like that have crossed my mind, not to mention the stories, the concept, the concept of Hell and the way the entire book is written for the use of an elite minority to control a willingly ignorant majority has made me despise the book and those who have edited and rewritten it for their own corrupted power. I can no longer call myself a Christian or look to it for peace of mind. That is not, however, to say I have lost faith in a universal consciousness. I believe in a spirituality and a connection between all living things. (I won't bore Paul with details.). However I felt moved enough to leave this comment. Also, Arthur, my mother's beliefs sound much like your parents' these days. Have been enjoying your discussions and the topics. Looking forward to more!

I think there are many reasons Romney picked Ryan. The most obvious would be that he feels he can ride the 2010 tea party wave. An other is Romney worked with Paul Ryan's brother at Bain capital. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/08/19/1121722/-Tobin-Ryan-Paul-s-brother-and-Mitt-Romney my personal choice is that I don't realy believe that he chose him. I think he was told who to pick after the Palin tragedy. I would think the GOP are not wanting to go through that again. Love the show. Keep um cumin.

I would not consider myself conservative as I am socially liberal - but I want someone in the whitehouse that just wants to run the government well and be responsible fiscally. Including deep defense cuts, entitlement reform, I am not opposed to some gun control, etc. I think i am reasonable - I certainly do not hate anyone who shares different views. If Obama had stepped aside and let Hillary run I would probably vote for her.

I called it last week when I commented and said Ryan would be the choice - Ryan is not tea party. They like him but he is not a member. I personally like Ryan and thought he was a great choice. I don't like Romney, or Obama but I like Ryan. I think Romney will win FL - and now WI, OH and possibly MI. Ryan is also very popular with blue collar workers in his own district. I don't think Ryan is against Government assistance (I do not believe he had to use it) he wants to make sure that there is something for the next generations. I am banking on social security s there will only be so many Walmart Greeter positions.

Thank you for the Shout-out for my AudioBoos. There several ways to follow my Boos. One way is that I am in iTunes along with the other Pride48 AudioBooers, GeorgeInAtlanta, Timmy Simms, and the Laffing Buddha, who should also be followed. (If anyone would like other ways to follow them they may contact me at brothercinaedus@gmail.com---shameless plug.)

BTW I really loving the show.

great show - if I were Romney I would not show any more tax returns then what is standard and he has done that. I think that Romney will pick Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio or Tim Pawlenty - although the Gov of VA has become shortlisted. I think Portman is also highly probable. I am betting on Ryan. Polling shows that Portman would carry Ohio, Polling shows Ryan would carry WI, possibly OH and several states. Polling shows Rubio helps with FL but not with any other States.

I sided with Ron Paul 97%
